Exercise is an activity that people engage in for leisure but may be converted into some kind of sport. Aerobic started long ago in Greece, for a fact the term is coined from Greek words, which translate to excising while naked in English. Gymnastics in Delaware entails performance of systematized exercises without or with the aid of bars, dumbbells, rings or other apparatuses. Depending on the intended purpose it can be a competitive sport or leisure activity. The main goal is to increase physical conditioning, agility, coordination or strength.

Bodily fitness in early Greece was achieved through cycles of maneuvers such as weight lifting, running, jumping, wrestling, throwing, and swimming. Bodily aptness was desired for a number of motives such as training of the military for wars. It was vital that all military men should be capable of defending themselves in case of a war. Over time individuals began training gymnastic for entertainment.

Aerobics is among Olympic Games and the participants are both male and female. Separate sports like field and track events, boxing, and wrestling evolved from these exercises. Vaulting and tumbling are the only events in the modern world that were original part of the ancient Greece aerobics. Tumbling evolved in different forms in various cultures without any outside influences.

Egypt and China had distinct types of acrobatics, which were not related to those performed in Greek, although they have certain similarities. Tumbling was done by traveling groups of thespians, jugglers, and dancers. Different types of tumble and acrobatics were in the end merged into circus. Prior to acrobatics being done on international stage they were performed by several circus organizations and people.

A class of aerobics known as floor exercise was created and coached for health benefits of the trainee. Floor exercising entails training with no hand apparatus such as wands, dumbbells, and clubs. This type of gymnastics was initially not intended to be a competitive sport but has changed into what is now called floor exercise. Floor gymnastic nowadays is part of Olympic Games starting 1932.

Vaulting, pommel horse, parallel rings horizontal bar, and rings were the games included in the first international competition in the 18s. Male calisthenics were first included on the Olympics schedule in the 18s. Female aerobics began a bit late in the 19s. Men and women took part in similar games with the exclusion of balance beam, which was entirely women event.

Calisthenics competition is held at different levels ranging from national, school, college, university, club to international stage. Current aerobics comprises of 6 different categories for male competitors and 4 categories for female contestants. Men categories emphasize on flexibility and strength of the upper part of the body of the athlete together with aerobics. Women categories comprise of uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, and vaulting horse.

Global categories consist of varied ages. Contestants are classed as seniors or juniors depending on their age. All athletes whose age falls below 16 are grouped as juniors. Anyone above the age of sixteen falls under senior group. Most athletes start their training while young and achieve the highest level of physical fitness in their early 20s or late teenage-hood. Late teenage-hood is the period between fifteen and nineteen years.
